TUNIS (TAP) - As part of the 34th edition of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival (France), held January 27-February 4, 2012, French TV channel France 3 devoted "La nuit de du court metrage 2012" (The night of 2012 short films) to the theme "Freedom and Cinema: the New Wave of Arab Cinema."
Works tackling mainly Arab revolutions will be screened as part of this show on February 2. They include three Tunisian short films, namely "Les Vibrations" (The Vibrations), a documentary directed by Farah Khadhar, "Vers le nord" (Towards the North) which is Youssef Chebbi's first professional film and "Tabou" (Taboo) by Meriem Riveill.
Tunisian poet Tahar Bekri is among the guests of this annual TV show.
It is worth noting that Tunisian Walid Tayaa's film "Vivre" (Living) was selected among 77 short films from over 50 countries around the world to take part in the 24th international competition of Clemont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
