HAMMAMET (TAP) - The International Labour Organisation (ILO) office in Cairo is holding, on May 14-18  in the resort city of Hammamet, a training workshop on the role of Tunisian unions in the defence of fundamental labour rights and the development of social dialogue in times of democratic transition.

TUNIS (TAP) - The National Security Forces Union called for an audience at the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) to present the urgent claims of the security and customs departments relating to securing the primacy of the law, the prestige of the State, the integrity of citizens, the respect of security staff and the protection of their lives.

TUNIS (TAP) - "Criminal investigations of human trafficking" is the theme of a scientific forum which opened Sunday in the Arab Interior Ministers' Council premises.  The five-day meeting is organised at the initiative of the "Nayef Arab University", in association with the International Criminal Police Organisation (INTERPOL).

TUNIS (TAP) - Thousands of workers gathered, on Tuesday, at the Mohamed Ali Square in Tunis, outside the headquarters of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) on the occasion of the World Labour Day. They chanted slogans calling for labourers' freedom and dignity and the preservation UGTT's independence.

TUNIS (TAP) - A partnership agreement was signed Monday between Tunisia's General Labour Confederation (CGTT ) and the Belgian Confederation of Christian Trade Unions (CSC) under which the latter will support the CGTT application for membership in the International Trade Union Confederation.
