MONASTIR (TAP) – 'Ettajdid' movement, the Progressive Democratic Party PDP, 'Afek Tounes' party and Tunisia's Labour party PTT intend to form a centre-left front to "secure changeover of political power."
This initiative has been suggested on Friday afternoon at a conference held in Monastir on ''means to boost political joint action.''
According to PTT leader Abdeljalil Bedoui, this front is an answer for those parties which care for building-up a modernist, democratic and open society.
He stressed the need for these political parties to fulfil their role in challenging established authority so that Tunisian citizens might have another option if they do not like the performance of the ruling parties.
