TUNIS (TAP) - A delegation of the Tunisian civil society left Tunis, on Friday, to the Gaza Strip via Cairo, as part of the international humanitarian assistance convoy "Miles of Smiles."

The Tunisian delegation is carrying foodstuff, medicine and gifts for children and the injured, said head of the delegation Mohamed Methnani.

On their arrival in Cairo, members of the delegation will hold a co-ordination meeting with different participating delegations from Maghreb, Arab, European and Asian countries.

The Tunisian delegation comprising twenty civil society activists, including two doctors, will head, next Saturday, to the Rafah Terminal before leaving to Gaza in an attempt to break the Israeli blockade.
