Bill ratifying Cluster Munitions Convention passed
BARDO, Feb. 9, 2010 (TAP) - The Chamber of Deputies adopted, on Tuesday morning, during a plenary session held under the chairmanship of Speaker Foued Mebazaa, with attendance of some government members, a draft law providing for the ratification of the Cluster Munitions Convention.
This Convention aims to put an end to sufferings engendered by cluster munitions. These weapons, which caused the death of thousands of civilians, are always a source of concern because of the victims they are still making in several world countries.
