(TAP) - The 2019 edition of the city art festival “Dream City" will be hosted by the Medina of Tunis on October 4-13.

Showing its ambition to offer a strong moment of artistic creation and civic engagement anchored in its city, very attached to its country and its region and open to the world, Dream City, supported by the Embassy of Germany to Tunisia, informs that for the past two years, free, generous and committed artists have dedicated themselves to new projects that involve a territory, its populations, its major political and social issues.

The goal is mainly to organise a festival that targets the entire city by mobilising and integrating it directly and deeply into its artistic creations.

Ahead of announcing the programme of its 7th edition, Dream City informs in a press release that several artists will be present in this festival of contextual art carried by artists from all regions and universes that make Tunis: Nidhal Chamekh, Amira Hamdi and Atef Matallah from Tunisia, Tania El Khoury, Radouane Mriziga and Dahlia Taha from MENA region, Serge-Aime Coulibaly and Boyzie Cekwana from Africa and Jozef Wouters, Floy Krouchi, Thomas Bellinck and Adeline Rosenstein from Europe.

They are all emerging and established artists, who express themselves in movement, by words or in plastic or cinematographic gestures: All together, they aim to offer other perspectives, words, propositions and sometimes solutions in a world which needs more than ever imagination, freedom, hope and breath.
