(TAP) – Human rights defence organisations and associations firmly condemned the blocking of the Tout sur l’Algérie (TSA) news website, inaccessible to its readers in Algeria since June 12, 2019.

In a joint statement issued on Friday, these organisations expressed solidarity with the editorial committee of the online newspaper, which enjoys a wide audience among the Algerian public opinion.

According to these organisations, the “independent” website had won on May 30, 2019, the Maghrebi Nejiba Hamrouni's prize for journalistic ethics.

Besides, they called the Algerian authorities to put an end to the blocking of the TSA website (censored for the second time since 2017), stop the different forms of censorship and to respect the right of the Algerian people, who have been staging a peaceful and extraordinary uprising since last February 22 against despotism and corruption.
