Amel Hajjar wins 1st prize of figurative painting at International Academy of Fine Arts, Arts and Culture Michelangelo Angrisani Festival

(TAP) - Tunisian painter Amel Hajjar won the 1st prize of figurative painting at the International Academy of Fine Arts, Arts and Culture Michelangelo Angrisani Festival, orgnised in Italy.

Hajjar who is known for her oil paintings won several awards notably the 1st prize for Oil Painting at the Abou el Kacem Chebbi Festival of Young Poets and Visual Artists of Tozeur.

She also won the gold medal of the Mahrès Festival (2005). She participated in the International Festival of Plastic arts in Münster (2004) and in an International Exhibition in Grenoble (2005).

Hajjar who is a self-taught person hosted 18 personal exhibitions in Tunisia and abroad, particularly in France and Germany, and participated in more than 50 group exhibitions. Most o f them are in Tunisia but also a group exhibition in Germany as well as two others in Saudi Arabia and Serbia.
