Khaouther Ben Hania wins Best Screenplay Award at 2021 Critics Awards for Arab Films

(TAP) - Tunisian filmmaker Kaouther Ben Hania won the Best Screenplay Award, for her feature film "The Man Who Sold His Skin" at the 2021 Critics Awards for Arab Films, held by the Arab Cinema Center (ACC) on the fringes of the 74th Cannes Festival.

The Critics Awards for Arab Films is an annual competition devoted to Arab cinema with awards announced on the fringes of the Cannes Festival (France), held this year on July 6-17.

Films and Arab cinema professionals were competing in 6 different categories, namely Best Fiction Film, Best Documentary, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director and Best Screenplay.

The winners were announced during an official ceremony held on July 10 in Cannes, the ACC said.
