STEG's Kheldia Training and Development Centre joins African Network of Centres of Excellence in Electricity

(TAP) – The Kheldia Training and Development Centre (CFPK) stemming from the Tunisian Electricity and Gas Company (STEG) has officially joined the African Network of Centres of Excellence in Electricity (ANCEE), by virtue of a memorandum of understanding inked on Monday between the STEG and the Association of Power Utilities of Africa (APUA).

The CFPK’s adherence was validated during the APUA’s annual meeting, June 24-29 in Congo’s Brazzaville, a STEG press release on Tuesday reads.

The company thus affirmed determination to become a pioneer at the African level in matters of training in electricity, in accordance with the objectives set by the ANCEE.

Operational since September 1976 and certified ISO 9001 since 2006, the CFPK organises training actions related to the STEG’s core businesses wether in electricity or gas. It also ensures an opening on the outside through training sessions dedicated to national and foreign enterprises.

Founded in December 2012, the APUA aims to promote the development and integration of the African electricity sector through the interconnection of electricity networks, exchange of experience and know-how as well as the joint use of energy resources based on a win-win approach for all members.
