(TAP) - The project to extend the aircraft construction unit (Corsica Composits Aéronotique or CCA) in the industrial zone Mghira 5, will recruit 400 workers in Tunisia, according to Slim Feriani and Zied Ladhari, Minister of Industry and SMEs and Minister of Development, Investment and International Cooperation, respectively.

They specified, during a visit to the unit's headquarters, that the overall cost of this extension project exceeds 57 MD, which covers an area of 10 thousand square meters.

According to Ladhari, this unit, created in 2010 in Tunisia, provides 170 jobs and is one of the most successful companies, especially since it is distinguished by its use of advanced technologies.

Feriani pointed out that the Mghira industrial zone, which covers an area of 20 ha and is now internationally renowned in the aeronautical components industry, has been extended to 20 ha.

He said that this type of company has been operating in this field for 10 years in Mghira.

The Minister considered that Tunisia is becoming a privileged destination for foreign investment thanks to the restoration of foreign investors' confidence in this country.

CCA specialises in the construction of the front descent doors and components for the wings and body of the aircraft.

This company is considered an integral tool that can be adapted to the aviation industry market, making it a first-class partner for industrialised aircraft companies around the world.
