Coronavirus: Transtu starts clean-up operations for its fleet

(TAP)- The Tunis Transport Company (Transtu) started, on Thursday evening, the cleaning and disinfection operations of its fleet of buses and wagons of the different lines, within the framework of the national plan to fight against Covid-19.

These operations will be conducted regularly and daily, assured Anis Malouchi, CEO of Transtu, in a statement to TAP, stressing that thermal cameras will be installed, from tomorrow Friday, in the main stations of the capital (Le Passage, Barcelona Square, TGM) to detect possible cases of coronavirus.

He added that these cameras will then be generalized to other stations, especially correspondence stations, specifying that a team of health specialists will be mobilized on site.

According to official, Transtu will also provide its staff and agents with means of prevention, given that the company remains, according to him, the main operator of urban transport in Greater Tunis.
