Government, UTICA Executive Board hold first dialogue session

(TAP)- A first dialogue session between the government and the Executive Board of the Tunisian Confederation of Industry, Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA) Utica took place, on Friday, under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of partnership between the government and the employers’ organisation, saying it is a “real partnership” given the role of UTICA members in boosting economy and investment and creating wealth.

UTICA President Samir Majoul mainly placed emphasis on the economic and social situation in the country and the need to launch a participatory salvation programme to boost the economy and stimulate investment.

Minister of Social Affairs, Mohamed Trabelsi said the session is part of the meetings launched by the government with its partners, to develop common visions to overcome economic difficulties, which have been accentuated by coronavirus health crisis.

He added that this encounter will be followed by other sector-based meetings.
