26/02/2021 12:13, TUNIS/Tunisia

(TAP) -CONECT International decries in a press release on Friday, the strike decided by the customs officers in local directorates and offices, airports as well as border crossing points, February 25-March 3, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. While supporting the legitimate demands, the organisation draws attention "to the negative repercussions of this strike on trade and on the economy, already impacted by the current situation that the country is going through, the latest alarming indicator of which is the downgrading of Tunisia's sovereign rating Moody's to B3."

Besides, " the enterprises operating globally have already been in a critical situation which will be worsened by this strike," the same source said.

CONECT International calls for the suspension of the strike and the resolution of the crisis by other means that do not jeopardise the sustainability of importing and exporting enterprises and the economic fabric."
