Tunis, April 15 (TAP) - Tunisia is partaking in the 2024 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG), held April 15-20 in Washington, the Ministry of the Economy and Planning announced on Monday.

Tunisia's official delegation is made up of Economy and Planning Minister Feryel Ouerghi, Governor of the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT) FEthi Zouhair Nouri and Prime Minister's Chief of Staff Samia Charfi.

Members of the Tunisian delegation will hold meetings with senior officials of regional and international financial institutions and with their counterparts from brotherly and friendly countries.

These meetings will provide an opportunity to present to Tunisia's partners the main reforms undertaken by the country to boost growth, preserve financial balance and improve the social situation, within the framework of the Tunisia 2035 strategic vision and the 2023-2025 development plan.

These meetings further help examine ways to foster cooperation in the current delicate global climate where countries, particularly developing ones, are facing numerous economic, financial, social, climate change, energy and food security challenges

The delegation will attend the official sessions and the various Governors' meetings, as well as the seminars and discussion panels scheduled on the fringes of the annual meetings, which will focus on key themes related to the challenges and prospects of economic and social development and sustainable development issues around the world.
