(TAP) - The House of People's Representatives (HPR), on Sunday, called on all parties "to choose the path of dialogue in all social issues and the current requirements to achieve the legitimate demands of Tunisians.”

In a statement, the parliament notes that the celebration of the 8th anniversary of the Revolution takes place in a delicate political and social context.

The HPR calls on all Tunisians to remain united, "the only condition to meet the challenges of the period in a context that requires increased vigilance and close ranks."

In its statement, the parliament pays tribute to the wounded and martyrs of the revolution and to the victims of extremism and terrorism among civilians and members of the security and military institutions who sacrificed themselves to preserve the country’s gains, its stability and the security of its people.

The Parliament reiterates its commitment to uphold the will of the people and its sovereignty and to work tirelessly to achieve the objectives of the Revolution and to complete the establishment of democratic institutions.
