"There are new balances in Tunisia that should be taken into account" (Caid Essebsi)

(TAP) – “There are new balances in Tunisia that should be taken into account, replacing the balances and consensus that the political scene had witnessed after the 2014 elections,” President Beji Caid Essebsi said in allusion to the Prime Ministry and the Ennahdha Movement, that he described as “the real supporter to Prime Ministry.”

Regarding the possibility that Youssed Chahed and Ennahdha Movement President will stand for the 2019 elections, he specified, that both have the right to do so and the Tunisian people will be the judge.

Speaking upon his arrival Monday afternoon in Tunis following his participation in 32nd African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, about the settlement of the secondary education crisis and cancellation of the general strike in the civil and public services through dialogue between the Prime Ministry and the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT), the Head of the State stated that “the PM and Ennahdha President had discussed means to settle this crisis.”
