(TAP) – "The Prime Minister did not answer any of the written questions tabled by the Parliament," said Assessor of the House of Poeple's Representatives (HPR) speaker in charge of relations with the presidency of the Republic and the Prime Ministry Brahim Nacef.

"We are aware of the responsibilities incumbent upon the Premier but he could have tasked one of his advisers with doing it," Nacef Friday told the media on the sidelines of a study day held by the Parliamentary Academy on the theme "the Supervisory Function of the Parliament: Current Situation and Prospects."

He also stressed the need for a good coordination to avoid such situations and find effective solutions to improve and develop the parliament's control function.

Nacef proposed the creation of the function of parliamentary ombudsman and amend the HPR rules of procedure in connection notably to questions for the government.
