2019 Presidential Polls: Rahoui campaigns in Manouba
13/09/2019 19:38, TUNIS/Tunisia

(TAP)- During his visit to Manouba on Friday, Monji Rahoui, popular front candidate in the early presidential election, expressed confidence in the intelligence of Tunisians to go to the polls and vote freely on the election day.

He did not hide his doubts about the use of political money and vote buying to influence election results.

Rahoui regretted reports that money had been distributed by representatives of a political party in his hometown Ghardimaou (Jendouba governorate) and other rural and border regions to buy voters' votes.

He said that young people and women have embraced the democratic process to choose the best candidate capable of protecting the gains made and to seek solutions to problems related to unemployment, poverty and marginalised regions.
