(TAP) – The Counter-Terrorism Division Monday took up Bizerte stabbing case, Spokesperson Sofiene Seliti said.

A man armed with a sharp object fatally stabbed a policeman near the Court of Appeal in Bizerte and injured a serviceman in the vicinity of a bus station.

The el-Gorjani counter-terrorism brigade was entrusted with the investigation, Seliti further said.

The assailant, native of Western Bizerte, is labelled "extremist" by police.
