(TAP) – The House of People’s Representatives (HPR) bureau denounced in three separate press releases, following a meeting on Sunday evening, "the insulting comments made against the Free Destourian Party (PDL) and Ennahdha bloc."

The HPR bureau also decided "to withdraw these comments from the proceedings of December 3 plenary session and called for respecting the smooth running of work at the HPR and complying with the law and ethics of parliamentary action."

There is likewise need to amend the parliament's rules of procedure and put in place a code of conduct to avoid a repeat of breaches.

Chair of PDL parliamentary group Abid Moussi said Sunday the open sit-in observed since December 3 will continue.

Moussi said she is opposed to the wording of the press releases and the withdrawal of the statements made by her fellow MPs from the proceedings of December 3 plenary session.
