(TAP) - A three day video mapping is taking place at the US embassy of Tunis from July 3 to 5 on the occasion of the US Independence Day.

The event, which is organised by the US embassy in Tunis, sheds light on three major historic stages.

The first part focuses on the long standing friendship established between Tunisia and the US since the Treaty of Peace and Friendship which was signed in Tunis on August 28, 1797.

The second part highlights both countries' efforts to foster democracy, mainly Tunisia's Jasmine Revolution on January 14, 2011 and America's Civil war in 1861.

The third part of the video mapping puts emphasis on enhancing bilateral cooperation.

July 4 marks the 244th Anniversary of the Independence of the United States.

This is the first video mapping of its kind to be held at the US embassy in Tunis.
