(TAP) - The National Committee of Victims of Tyranny called on the Prime Ministry to "officially announce its commitment to implement the recommendations of the transitional justice."

In a statement issued on Friday, the committee announced the organisation of a rally next December 10 in Kasbah Square to denounce the government's failure to fulfil its promises towards the victims after a marathon of meetings between both sides.
The committee expressed dismay that the transitional justice file does not benefit from the necessary interest from the government, which on the contrary should make of the victims of tyranny file one of its top priorities.
Besides, the committee recalled that the government failed to achieve its commitments with Advisor to the Prime Minister in charge of Social Affairs, agreed upon during last September 30 meeting that was attended by a delegation of the committee.
On this occasion, the committee pointed to the need to put the victims' urgent demands into effect, notably the opening of a current account for Al Karama fund, the activation of the management committee within El Karama fund and the publication of a list of families of martyrs and wounded.
