(TAP) - The Cabinet meeting held Thursday at the Government Palace in Kasbah under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Hichem Mechichi approved 12 draft government decrees.

These include mainly a government decree on ways to implement the provisions of Law No. 38 of 2020, dated August 13 related to exceptional measures for recruitment in the public sector after undergoing modifications in line with the comments raised about it.

A presentation on the economic situation and the general health situation in the country was made at the meeting, said a statement from the Prime Ministry.

Mechichi said the government is closely following the issue of coronavirus vaccines, besides the financial situation in relation to discussions with donors and the submission of a project supporting the Tunisian economy to overcome financial difficulties.

Law No. 38 of 2020 on exceptional provisions for recruitment in the public sector, also known as the law of recruitment in public sector of those whose unemployment exceeded 10 years, was issued last August 19 in the Official Gazette after it was promulgated by the President of the Republic.

The House of People's Representatives (French: ARP) approved this law on July 29, after 159 MPS voted for it and 18 abstained.
