(TAP) - The House of People's Representatives (ARP) announced on Tuesday evening that its Speaker Rached Ghannouchi ( aged 80) had tested positive for the new coronavirus.

According to a statement from the parliament, received by TAP, Rached Ghannouchi performed a rapid screening test this evening, which turned out to be positive.

Rached Ghannouchi, already vaccinated, will continue his activities at distance, the ARP added in a statement received by TAP.
