(TAP)-Speaker of the House of People's Representatives (ARP) Rached Ghannouchi denied having been consulted by the Head of State to activate Article 80 of the Constitution, denouncing "false allegations." In a statement released on Monday at dawn, Rached Ghannouchi deemed "unconstitutional" and "illegal" the decision to freeze the work of the parliament for 30 days, assuring that the parliamentary institution will continue its activities. Besides, he delivered a reassuring message to the Tunisian people and to Tunisia's friends, promising to protect the revolution. |
