(TAP) - Four Ennahdha movement members are currently standing before the investigating judge of the Tunis 2 Court of First Instance over "attempted violence" outside the House of People's Representatives (HPR)'s seat following the announcement of the July 25 presidential decisions, an authorised court source told TAP on Friday.

A member of the Shura Council, a member of Rached Ghannouchi's protocol unit and his former bodyguard are among those arrested.

Ghannouchi's former bodyguard and the Shura Council member had been arrested since last Tuesday and were interrogated by the anti-crime brigade, the source specified, while the remaining two were interrogated while on release.

The interrogation is still underway, the source pointed out, affirming that complaints were filed with the anti-crime brigade against these four members over "attempting to conduct acts of violence".

"They were seeking to ensure the participation of some locals of Ennour neighbourhood in Bardo by telling them to carry out, while equipped with clubs, acts of violence outside the HPR's headquarters on July 26 and 17," the same source added.
