(TAP) - Judge Habib Rebai, on Monday, submitted his resignation from the Board of the Independent Authority for the Elections (ISIE), information officer Faisal Dhaou told TAP in a statement. He added that this resignation will be submitted to the Board of the Electoral Commission for a decision. Dhaou said Rebai’s resignation has nothing to do with the commission's work and preparations for the July 25 referendum. It came "in the context of his support for his fellow judges and for a statute for judges compliant with international standards," according to the text of his resignation. This resignation will have no impact on work of the ISIE Board in terms of quorum, Dhaou noted. |
