(TAP) - President Kais Saied met with President of the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) Farouk Bouasker at Carthage Palace on Monday.

The Head of State urged vigilance against multiple attempts to sabotage voter-registration and changing the voting centres, said the Presidency in a statement.

He denounced attempts to change the voting centres without the knowledge of voters, which led to shutting down the website.

“What happened during the electronic consultation must not be repeated with the referendum of July 25,” he insisted. “We will not tolerate the actions of those who want to make the referendum fail.”

The electronic consultation, which took place from January 15 to March 20, 2022, was the target of more than 100,000 attempts at cyber-attacks from inside and outside the country, according to the Presidency.
