(TAP)- The Administrative Court issued Tuesday rulings suspending the implementation of a number of dismissal decisions issued against 57 judges in early June, after completing all investigation procedures," its spokesperson Imed Ghabri said on Wednesday.

The first president of the Administrative Court delivered the ruling based on the outcome of investigation procedures and after requesting evidence from administrative authorities as well as reasons for each of the dismissal decisions. "Dismissal cases were handled each on its own," he added.

The spokesperson also said two kinds of rulings were handed down by the Administrative Court: suspension of dismissal over "lack of legal and factual grounds." Appeals to suspend the implementation of dismissal decisions were rejected on the grounds of well-founded reasons."

President Kais Saied announced last June 1 the dismissao of 57 judges 1, accusing them of "corruption and various crimes."

Sacked judges mainly include former president of the Supreme Judicial Council Youssef Bouzakher, former first president of the Court of Cassation Taieb Rached and former General Prosecutor Bechir Akremi.

Fifty-four judges out of the 57 lodged complaints by late June for "abuse of power" in a bid to rescind presidential decree N° 516.
