(TAP) - Political parties have no right to campaign for the December 17 legislative elections, said Spokesman for the Independent Higher Auhtority for the Elections (ISIE) Mohamed Tlili Mansri.

However, candidates can conduct election campaigns as members of political parties within a specific period, he specified to TAP.The ISIE will treat the candidates as individuals with the right to campaign and present their election programmes, Mansri indicated in this regard.

He affirmed that the political parties who had announced the boycott of the elections are not cocnerned by the election campaigns.

The decision on the election campaign provisions will be published before November 25 (the kick-off date of the campaign), Mansri added.
