Five soldiers injured in second mine explosion in Mount Semmama (Defence)

(TAP) – Five more soldiers were wounded in a second mine explosion at an ongoing sweep operation in Mount Semmama, Colonel Belhassen Oueslati said Monday afternoon

A first mine had exploded earlier in the day, wounding four soldiers.

He added that two soldiers were hit in the leg. The injuries of the other seven are not serious.

According to the spokesman for the Ministry of Defence, the search operation underway at Mount Semmama has uncovered terrorists’ hideout and food leftover.
