(TAP) - The Algerian National Guards killed three terrorists who fled to Algeria after exchanging fire last Tuesday with the National Guard units near the Bouderias border crossing in Kasserine governorate, Colonel Khelifa Chibani, spokesman of the National Guard, told TAP on Sunday.

The Algerian authorities informed their Tunisian counterparts of this operation, he added, pointing out that DNA analyzes were carried out to identify these terrorist elements.

In a statement published last Tuesday, the Interior Ministry said that following reports of a group of terrorists watching the premises of the land border brigade in Bouderias, the National Guards rushed to the site near the Tunisian-Algerian border, three kilometers from the border crossing.

The three terrorists then began firing shots at the National Guard patrol without causing casualties. The National Guards retaliated and chased them. The terrorists managed to escape to Algeria, the source added.

According to the Interior Ministry, "three bearded foreigners" were observing the premises of the land border brigade of Bouderias that come from a forest site dominating the roads and paths leading to these units of the National Guard.
