Jhinaoui talks in New York: Means to boost bilateral relations looked at

(TAP) – Fostering Tunisian-Indian relations and the upcoming bilateral events were at heart of Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui’s meeting with Indian opposite number Sushma Swaraj.

During the meeting held on Tuesday on the fringes of the 72nd Regular Session of the UN General Assembly, both ministers voiced satisfaction at the level of bilateral relations, reaffirming the two countries’ willingness to boost bilateral co-operation in the economic field, a Foreign Ministry press release reads.

They further discussed the forthcoming 12th session of the Tunisian-Indian Joint Commission due for October 30-31 in New Delhi, with the participation for the first time of the two countries’ FMs.

Besides, Jhinaoui also had a talk with Indonesian counterpart Retno Marsudi about means to foster Tunisian-Indonesian relations.

On this occasion, the two ministers spoke about the forthcoming visit of Marsudi to Tunisia at the beginning of October. During this visit, the two diplomats will co-chair the Tunisian-Indonesian Joint Commission devoted to boosting bilateral relations.

The Indonesian FM will also participate in a conference on democracy.
