(TAP) – Following the arrest of a Takfiri element on Wednesday in Sousse who had acknowledged allegiance to the terrorist organisation "Daesh," the Sousse National Guard Investigation Brigade arrested Thursday two other takfiri individuals linked to the suspect.

The investigation revealed that they belong to a dormant Takfiri cell that meets regularly in the Sahloul region, the Interior Ministry said in a press release on Friday, specifying that the latter were held in police custody while the first suspect was transferred to prosecution.

Besides, the Ettadhamen National Guard Investigation Brigade arrested on Thursday another takfiri element aged 32 years.

According to the same source, the individual admitted to adopting the takfiri ideology and published photographs of terrorists and video footage and posts glorifying the terrorist organisation Daesh and inciting to terrorism.

He was placed in custody and a judicial investigation was initiated on suspicion of affiliation to a terrorist organisation.

On another level, a 23-year-old takfiri individual was arrested in Mateur, Governorate of Bizerte, for posting on his Facebook account posts, photos and video footage glorifying terrorism and comments that undermine the police and the symbols of the State.

A judicial investigation was opened against him for suspicion of affiliation to a terrorist organisation.

Another 42-year-old takfiri element was arrested in Sidi Bouzid for collecting donations of money on Facebook without authorisation, said the Interior Ministry, adding that a judicial investigation was initiated against him on suspicion of affiliation to a terrorist organisation.
