P) - Nidaa Tounes said it has nothing to do with a so-called parliamentary front project at the House of People's Representatives (HPR).

The party's "official stances are only spelled out in statements signed by the executive director," Nidaa Tounes said in a Facebook post.

"Whoever among members joins the project will be expelled from the party and its parliamentary bloc, in line with rules of procedure and out of keenness to keep party unity," Nidaa Tounes said.

MP Sahbi Ben Fraj (Al-Horra parliamentary group/ Machrou Tounes) Wednesday told TAP deputies of Machrou Tounes and Afek Tounes and some others from Nidaa Tounes as well as independents engaged nearly two months ago in talks for the formation of a progressive parliamentary front.

This front will help "unify positions" and "restore balance to the parliamentary landscape," Ben Fraj indicated.

This formation will be announced by next week; a press conference will be held to this end at the seat of the HPR.
