(TAP)- Two alleged Takfiri elements were arrested Tuesday in the governorate of El Kef and in Tabarka (governorate of Jendouba) as part of the anti-terror fight. National guards in El Kef apprehended a 24-year-old Takfiri who admitted to embracing the Takfiri ideology and posting comments and photos glorifying Daesh on his Facebook page, the Interior Ministry said in a press release. He also said he had ties with terrorists from the region holed up in mountains. The man was held in custody. A judicial investigation was initiated against him over “suspicion of terrorist organisation membership.” National guards in Tabarka likewise arrested a 19-year-old Takfiri; legal proceedings were brought against him over apology for terrorism, the same source said. |
