Sidi Bouzid: inauguration of two USAID-funded projects

(TAP) – Two projects funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) were inaugurated in the governorate of Sidi Bouzid on Tuesday.

They include an urban park project in Ouled Chebli in the delegation of Sidi Bouzid and the project of redevelopment of the youth centre in the delegation of Souk Jedidi.

These projects are part of the Programme “Sharekna”, a project to Support Youth and Empower Local Communities", conducted by Family Health International "FHI 360" in Tunis, Sidi Bouzid, El Kef, Manouba and Ariana.

The programme aims to improve the local leadership of Tunisian communities as well as young Tunisians to address economic, social and political challenges.

In Sidi Bouzid, the programme started in November 2017 and focuses on the achievement of societal projects for a cost of more than 300,000 dinars including the development of youth houses in Souk Jedid and Sidi Bouzid, as well as the urban park in Ouled Chelbi and the creation of libraries in 5 rural schools.
