(TAP) - Governor of Jendouba, Ali Marmouri, denies, in a statement to TAP , the information circulating about the arrest of a group allegedly planning to carry out a terrorist attack on the tourist area of Tabarka.

The publication of such information, which does not respect the ethical rules of journalism and does not refer to any official source, is detrimental to the tourism sector, which is experiencing an unprecedented recovery compared to last year and the years after 2011, the Governor of the region points out.

Security and military units are mobilised to ensure the safety of citizens, the protection of public organisations and the success of the tourist season, he added.

Regarding the arrests made on Thursday in the Jendouba region, the Governor explained that the security units have taken into custody four young people who glorified the two terrorist operations carried out on June 27 in Tunis.

One of the security patrols took four young people from Sidi Ali Ben Aoun (Sidi Bouzid governorate) into police custody on Thursday, accompanied by a resident of Ouled Menâa. Some of them are wanted.
