Medenine: Migrant bodies wash up on Djerba, Zarzis coasts

(TAP) - The bodies of migrants who drowned early July off Djerba and Zarzis, governorate of Médenine, washed ashore on Wednesday evening.
Three Malian nationals were rescued after a boat with 86 people on board sank as it headed to Italy from Libya, the President of the Tunisian Red Crescent in Médenine said.
The survivors were taken to the migrant centre in Zarzis.
Efforts to collect bodies are underway and 28 victims were so far identified and buried in Gabés. Other bodies were transferred to hospitals in the region.
