Newly-elected MP brought to justice over alleged sexual harassment (Court spokesperson)

(TAP) - The Public Prosecutor’s Office in Nabeul, on Saturday, decided to bring a newly-elected MP in the October 6 legislative elections to justice on Monday over alleged sexual harassment and indecent exposure, Deputy Public Prosecutor in Nabeul and official spokesperson for the Court of First Instance Karim Boulila told TAP.

The decision was made under Articles 226 and 226a of the Penal Code, after an investigation conducted by the Criminal Investigation Police in Nabeul and a complaint lodged by a 19-year girl.

The Public Prosecutor's Office took up the case after seeing photos and videos shared on social media showing a high school girl allegedly suffering sexual harassment in Dar Chaâbane El Fehri, Nabeul.
