(TAP) – An international tender to construct a new Bridge in Bizerte was launched on Wednesday. The tender is also open to various Tunisian building and public works companies. The cost of the project is estimated at nearly 800 million dinars to be largely mobilised through loans granted to Tunisia by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the African Development Bank (AfDB). The project that will cover a distance of 9.5 km provides for the construction of a two-lane road over 7.4 km. It also includes the construction of a 2.1-km long and 56-meter high bridge above sea level, which will allow the passage of all types of ships. |
