(TAP) - Local association "Ibtissama" providing support to autistic children in Kebili is planning to sign partnership agreements with Tunisian, Algerian, and Libyan associations to increase assistance for autistic children.

Speaking to TAP, Executive Director of “Ibtissama” association Atef Mansour said that these agreements are also meant to share expertise and experiences at the Maghreb level.

A first agreement was signed with Libyan association "Dhekra" providing care to children with autism, at a meeting held in Sabha (Libya) .

"The objective of this meeting was to strengthen technical cooperation between executives of both associations through holding seminars and training sessions," said Mansour.

He added that the partnership agreements will make it possible to develop associative action in the field of disability at the international level.

The Tunisian association "Ibtissama" is currently establishing similar partnerships with Libyan and Algerian associations as well as with the University Hospital of "Fattouma Bourguiba" (governorate of Monastir) which has offered free consultations for autistic children since November 2019, Mansour pointed out.

The free consultations are expected to end on January 25, 2020.
