(TAP) - Young people from El-Kamour, on Friday evening, suspended their sit in held at the headquarters of the governorate of Tataouine after almost a month during which they had been on hunger strike.

The decision was made at the end of meetings El Kamour sit-in representatives had with the the President of the Republic and the Speaker of the House of People’s Representatives (HRP) on their demands regarding the El-Kamour agreement.

In a video shared on the Facebook page of El-Kamour sit-in Coordination, official spokesperson Tarek Hadded said sit-inners are satisfied with the way the Head of State responded to their demands as stipulated in El-Kamour agreement and the commitment of the four parliamentary groups to consider the agreement among the priorities of the next government.

The sit-inners called for the implementation of El-Kamour agreement signed with the government on June 16, 2017, through the mediation of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT).
