Bizerte: Call for applications for young people with ideas for green projects

(TAP) - The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF-NA) and the Global Water Partnership Mediterranean (GWP-Med), have launched a call for applications to select around thirty young people from Ghar El Melh and Greater Bizerte in order to help them put their green project ideas into practice.

These young people will attend a series of targeted training and coaching sessions enabling them to draw up their business plans and to develop and strengthen their knowledge on topics related to the integrated and sustainable management of natural resources in a context of climate change.

This call for applications is part of the GEMWET project "Conservation and Sustainable Development of Coastal Wetlands of High Ecological Value" implemented in Ghar El Melh and funded by the MAVA Foundation for Nature.

The three-year project (2018-2021) has as its main objective to contribute to the economic, socio-cultural and ecological development of the area.

The Project is financed by the MAVA Foundation for Nature and implemented by a set of regional and national partners responsible for the implementation of this project.

They are WWF North Africa, StichtingBirdLife Europe, "Friends of the Birds" Association, Global Water Partnership Mediterranean (GWP-Med), Regional Activity Centre of the Priority Action Programme (PAP/RAC) of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), National Agronomic Institute of Tunis (INAT), Tour du Valat, International Union for Conservation of Nature in the Mediterranean (IUCN Med).
