(TAP) - The first flight from Helsinki, Finland, carrying 177 passengers on board, including two bloggers and three journalists, landed at Monastir Habib-Bourguiba International Airport on Friday night.

The bloggers and journalists will spend two days in Monastir before visiting other Tunisian cities so as to promote thermal and golf tourism, said local tourism delegate Faouez Ben Halima.

Other flights from Helsinki International Airport to Monastir are planned, with one flight per week, off the tourist season in July and August.

Another flight from Denmark will be added as part of promoting spa and golf tourism.

Other non-scheduled flights from Oran International Airport “Ahmed Ben Bella of Algeria” to Monastir Airport will be planned from next June, while keeping the same flights between Algiers-Houari-Boumediene and Monastir Airports scheduled since last year.

598.000 tourists from various countries visited Monastir in 2019.
