Sousse/Monastir-COVID-19: cases of recovery increase

(TAP) - Nine cases of recovery from COVID-19 have been recorded, Monday, in the governorates of Monastir and Sousse.

In Sousse, four patients recovered bringing to 43 the total number of those cases in the region, Local Health Director Sami Rekik told TAP.

Other patients are still receiving treatment, including 10 patients at the University Hospital of Sousse (three of them are in ICUs), 4 patients are admitted to the quarantine centre of Monastir and six others returning from Congo were placed in an isolation centre in Gammarth.

According to the same source, no more cases of infection with COVID-19 have been registered in Sousse Monday, after testing 92 people.

There have been 77 confirmed cases in Sousse since the spread of the virus, Rekik pointed out.

In Monastir, the number of cases of recovery reached 64 after two patients recovered in the isolation centre, Local Health Director Mohamed Moncef Houani told TAP.

Since, April 4, the isolation centre of Monastir has accommodated 253 patients, 187 of them are still quarantined and monitored by a medical team.
