Tataouine: sit-in of Remada residents in Dhehiba border crossing
12/07/2020 14:44, TUNIS/Tunisia

(TAP) - Several residents of the city of Remada spent Saturday night near Dhehiba after a popular march of almost 50 km.

They expect a positive interaction from the central authorities and especially from the President of the Republic, whom they ask to visit their region to learn about their living conditions and "apologise for the violence suffered by their homes and their children," according to them.

The inhabitants, on Sunday morning, returned to the square located one kilometre north of the town of Dhehiba after arriving in a symbolic act at the border crossing, in order to avoid clashes with the national army and security forces protecting the post, which is in fact closed.
