Kasserine: three Syrian migrants test positive for COVID-19

(TAP) - Three Syrian migrants have tested positive for COVID-19 in the governorate of Kasserine, said director of primary health care in Kasserine Moncef Mhamdi.

These migrants are among 13 other Syrian migrants who came from Sfax and were planning to illegally cross the Tunisian-Algerian borders.

They were arrested by security units and subjected to quarantine measures in a centre in Châambi, the same source told TAP.

Among sub-Saharan and Syrian migrants, currently placed in a mandatory quarantine centre in Châambi (Kasserine governorate), 31 people tested positive for COVID-19.
