(TAP) - Four Burkinabe were placed in mandatory quarantine centres in Tozeur on Sunday.

They were arrested while trying to cross the border with Algeria illegally.

The people in question were arrested Saturday in the delegation of Hazoua, Governor of Tozeur Mohamed Aymen Béjaoui told TAP.

A fifth citizen of the same country was arrested Sunday morning in the city of Nefta.

Samples were taken from them to check if they carry the COVID-19, the same source said, adding all necessary preventive measures have been taken.

The individuals arrested will then be presented to the public prosecutor's office with the possibility of transferring them to another health quarantine centre in case tests prove their infection.
